Arrive in Mysore!

Finally, now I arrived in Mysore last night around 3 a.m. in the morning. Let have a look about my journey.

Some of the food during my flight. (Already got some comment that I put on too much food pictures! haha)

The flight arrived in Bangalore around 11.30pm local time (1.5 hour behind Thailand time). It takes less than 15 minutes to clear immigration and retreive the baggage. Then I have to go outside the terminal building to find my driver. There were literally a hundred driver holding the sign to find their passenger. So it is quite difficult to find your name. I had to walk around twice to find my driver.

The car that brought me to Mysore.
The ride to Mysore went smoother than what I've imagined. The car may look outdated and the design probably hasn't changed for 30 years. But it is clean and certainly well maintained. The driver is great. And the road to Mysore is surprisingly in good condition. The horn honking is less than what I've imagined. And when it is done, it is reasonable. Overall, I feel safe the whole journey.

We stop for Chai in the middle of the journey.

As the driver drove at leisurely pace (around 50-60 kilo per hour), it took around 3 hours to get to Mysore. And now here I am at my own room.

Clean and spacious

Hot water machine.

I already met P'Um this morning. She looks fabulous. More about her in the next post. I will register with Guruji today to start practice this Sunday morning. More to update about where I live, the food, and other things. So stay tuned!
